PictureHealing
PictureHealing is empowering people to create positive change and be socially responsible by simply taking and sharing photos with their friends and family.
Over 11 Billion images were captured on camera phones in 2010 and that number is expected to more than double in 2015. As of June 2011 there were 4.6 Billion cell phones in use, and that number is expected to hit the 10 Billion mark by 2015. With 150 Million photos taken and shared through Instagram alone, 2.125 Million tweets each day containing an image, and 200 Million pictures uploaded every day to Facebook, digital photo sharing is a revolution!
The PictureHealing application allows smart-phone users (iphone/android) to take and share pictures across multiple social networks simultaneously. By doing so, users earn points that become valued as monetary contributions to their three favorite charities. The app is free to both the users and our partner charities to allow maximum reach and adoption.
PictureHealing continues to build one of the largest opt in groups of non-profits and their dedicated supporters through the use of a mobile photo-sharing application alongside a web based version. Through the app we are able to facilitate and foster new relationships, increase awareness, build support, and raise much needed funds for our partner non-profits.
Going above and beyond the application, PictureHealing is building partnerships with other for-profit organizations to offer their services at a discounted rate to our non-profit partners. This allows PH to create and benefit from additional commerce, while staying focused on our mission to provide a suite of services to help NPO’s achieve their goals.
PH’s revenues are generated through advertising, upgrades, add-ons, prints, merchandising, and events. 50% of the net profit generated will be donated to the charities based on the point breakdown created by the users participation.
