No Money No Problems – Get Invovled Anyway
Making a difference does not have to come with a price tag. There are a lot of organizations out there looking for donations and fundraisers, but if you’re like me, you’re not at a time in your life where you can be doling out money to every good cause.
Don’t let that discourage you from taking a hands on approach to making a difference. There is a lot that you can do with out spending a dime and sometimes without even leaving your home.
Get out and get involved:
If you’re up for donating some time and taking a hands on approach there are some great resources out there and below are just a few. Definitely drop me a message with other great places to find hands on volunteer opportunities.
Help out from Home
Raising awareness and can be just as powerful as getting your hands dirty or donating money. This is also something that you can do right from your computer.
A lot of the sites above have from home opportunities, but I think the best place to start is to determine the organization that you are really passionate about. Helping raise awareness is something that you’re going to be using your personal network and attaching your name to this cause. Once you find the group that you want to help out contact them and ask the best ways to help promote their cause and what they are doing.
Keep in mind that raising awareness does not have to tie directly to asking people for money. You can be a big help by spreading the word about the issues and talking about how the organization is helping and how people can get involved.
